What You Will Learn:

In this session, we’ll provide a foundation for understanding HVAC controls. Topics will include the I/O structure of equipment-level controllers, the differences between standalone, proportional/DDC, and BMS control, and a practical example of a chiller/pump/cooling tower loop. We’ll also simplify PID control concepts and introduce key BAS/BMS communication protocols—MODBUS RTU, BACnet MS/TP, and BACnet IP—showing how they support system-wide building management.
