Rethinking Hydronic Systems for Decarbonization
11:00 AM (EDT) | October 27th, 2026
What You Will Learn:
Hydronic systems spend most of their operating hours at part load, yet most are still designed around a single large pump sized for peak conditions. Decarbonization with heat pumps compounds the challenge. Heat pump systems operate across wider ranges due to combined heating and cooling demands, and single-pump designs can struggle to turn down far enough to avoid unnecessary energy consumption.
The industry is taking a new approach: smaller pumps operating in parallel to deliver higher turndown and better match changing system demands. This session explores how intelligent pumps with permanent magnet motors and parallel sensorless control work together to maximize system efficiency, reduce energy waste, and help meet decarbonization goals.
